Guess How Many Boreals

Guess how many boreal bird species--from the 260 featured in the boreal bird guide (www.borealbirds.org/birds.html)--that the Boreal Birders will see during the World Series of Birding?

The persons coming closest to the correct number will win a copy of The Birdwatcher's Companion by Christopher Leahy courtesy of Princeton University Press (www.pupress.princeton.edu/birds/). If several people guess the correct number then we will draw names from a hat to see who gets the prizes.

Send in your guesses to: info@borealbirds.org
Put "Guesses" in the subject line to make it easier for us if you would.

The Boreal Birder team is also raising funds for the cause through per-species-pledges. If you pledge at least $0.50 a bird then we will even give you a call during the event to let you know how we are doing! By the way, if we have any luck we should see at least 200 species.

Send in your pledges also to: info@borealbirds.org
with the word "pledge" in the subject line.
