Talking Boreal Birds in Ottawa

November 2, 2015 | Dr. Jeff Wells

Coming up this Thursday night (Nov. 5),  I get to be part of an event sponsored by the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) Ottawa Valley chapter called “CPAWS Talks Forests” that will take place at the University of Ottawa. It won’t come as a surprise to know that I will be telling stories about Boreal birds and their conservation future with a talk entitled “Can We Ensure a Future For a Billion Birds?”

I will be sharing the stage with well-known natural history author and lecturer, Michael Runtz and both Michael and I will have copies of some of our books available after the presentations which will be followed by a reception celebrating 45 years of conservation by CPAWS’ Ottawa-Valley chapter, including snacks, cash bar and door prizes.

If any readers are in the Ottawa area and want to come by and talk Boreal birds and boreal conservation, you can find out more and get tickets at:
